raises the pressure of fluid. The work done on fluid is supplied via frange port(shaft). Component characteristics are fixed or given by external real-signal.
Scope/Calculation function
- Calculation of the change in state quantities of fluid through compressor.
- Calculation of power or torque required for given pressure ratio.
- Calculation of pressure ratio as a result of given shaft power or torque.
Short description of physical model/calculation method
- Fluid outlet state quantities are calculated by pressure ratio and adiabatic efficiency input.
- Causality about power can be selected
- Give pressure ratio -> power and torque are calculated. (may be common usage)
- Give power/torque -> Pressure ratio is calculated.
- Pressure ratio and adiabatic efficiency can be input by either parameter or real-input interface.
Limitations/Assumptions of model
- No flow capacity model. The mass flow rate must be determined outside of this compressor component.
- Mechanical rotational speed must be determined out of this component.
- No phase change of fluid can occur.
- Simulation of abnormal operation where fluid pressure drops by windmilling or 0 change in fluid pressure cannot be performed.
- Flow reversal condition cannot be simulated.

Usage
- Redeclear the package of medium.
- Fill of connectors:
- Fluid inlet port, port_1
- Fluid outlet port, port_2
- Either or both of flange_1, flange_2
- Optional: real signal port for pressure ratio, u_PR
- Optional: real signal port for adiabatic efficiency, u_eff
- Prameter settings diffrenent depending on causality of calculation.
- Other parameter settings.
Parameters rather than "General" can be left default value in most of case.
